In depth
Web analytics in Mallorca: in depth
First, what "working" means for your site
Before touching any tool, we sit down to define what you want your website to do. For a restaurant it might be a booking, for a clinic a phone call, for a shop a purchase and for a service business a quote request. That's the measurement plan: a short list of actions that genuinely matter, plus the pages and channels worth following. Everything else is noise.
Skip this step and you usually end up with reports full of visits and percentages that never answer the one useful question: is this bringing me customers?
GA4 set up for your business
Google Analytics 4 measures events, and out of the box it doesn't know which ones matter to you. We configure the ones that reflect your business, such as taps on your phone number or WhatsApp button, form submissions, bookings or purchases, and mark the ones that really count as conversions. We also check nothing is counted twice, that internal traffic is excluded where appropriate and that traffic sources are attributed properly, so a Google Ads campaign or a newsletter doesn't get lumped in with everything else.
Search Console: what Google sees of your site
Analytics tells you what people do on your site; Search Console tells you how they get there from Google. It shows the searches you appear for, how often your site is shown, how many clicks it gets and whether any pages have indexing problems. It's the most direct source of opportunities: queries where you already appear but get few clicks, or pages Google isn't indexing. Many of those signals are then addressed through technical SEO.
We connect Search Console with Analytics to cross-reference the two: which searches bring visits and which of those visits go on to convert. That shows which content deserves more effort and which attracts traffic that does nothing for the business.
Consent and numbers that don't add up
With a properly implemented cookie banner, some visitors choose not to accept measurement, and that's how it should be. It means analytics doesn't capture everything that happens, so the figures should be read as trends rather than an exact count. We set up consent in a privacy-respecting way and explain what it means for your data, so you don't draw conclusions from a gap that is really just down to method.
Reports that end in decisions
A good report doesn't need much space: what happened, why we think it happened and what we suggest doing. We build dashboards focused on your conversions and the channels that drive them, and we show you how to read them so you can check them yourself. If you'd like a first snapshot of where your site stands before we start, you can request our free website audit.
We don't want you to depend on us to understand your own website. If visits drop, we help you tell whether it's a technical problem, a change in a campaign or simply the season, with the data in front of you. It's the best way to avoid rushed decisions.
Answered
Web analytics in Mallorca: frequently asked questions
I already have Analytics, is it useful?
We review your setup: many accounts measure poorly or don't track conversions. We make it reliable.
Is this GDPR‑compliant?
Yes. We configure cookie consent and analytics in a privacy‑respecting way.
Do you do periodic reports?
We can: clear monthly reports with conclusions and next steps, not a sea of charts.
What's the difference between Google Analytics and Search Console?
They complement each other. Search Console shows what happens before the click: which searches you appear for on Google, your average position and how often people choose you. Analytics shows what happens after: which pages they visit, which channel they came from and whether they end up calling, booking or buying. With both connected you understand the whole customer journey.
Can you measure phone calls and WhatsApp messages?
Yes, at least the ones started from your website. We track taps on your phone number and WhatsApp buttons as events, and the ones that matter are marked as conversions. We won't know what was said in the conversation, but we will know which pages and channels generate the most enquiries, which is what you need to decide where to invest.
Will the analytics accounts be in my name?
That's what we recommend: your Analytics and Search Console properties should belong to your business, and we work with whatever access you give us. That way the historical data is yours whatever happens and you can grant or remove permissions whenever you like. If accounts were set up by someone else, we help you regain control.
