TapMallorca: NFC chip with waves on a dark background, digital menu for hospitality

Introducing TapMallorca: the NFC digital menu for your venue

Our new hospitality product: NFC chips your customers tap with their phone to see your menu, leave a Google review or join the WiFi. No apps, no reprinting QR codes.

We've been building it between projects for months, and it's finally here: TapMallorca, our NFC technology platform for restaurants, bars and hotels. The idea is simple: you stick a small chip on the table or by the till, your customer taps their phone, and your menu, Google's review form or the WiFi connection opens. No apps to download, nothing to scan.

It was born from a problem we see every season in Mallorca: printed QR codes go stale. You change the menu, raise prices, launch a new Instagram… and you have to reprint every code in the venue. With NFC the chip is always the same — what changes is where it points, and you control that from your phone, in seconds, between services.

The platform does quite a bit more than show a menu. You can upload several menus and schedule when each one shows (lunch menu at midday, dinner menu at night, breakfasts at weekends); place a reviews chip by the till that opens Google's 5-star form directly; offer WiFi without dictating passwords; and see real tap statistics by day and hour, so you know which chip works and where to place it. The public page also detects the customer's phone language and shows Spanish, English, German or French automatically.

Plans start at €9 a month, with no lock-in, and all include a welcome pack with a visit: we come to your venue, configure the chips and design your public page with your brand. There's also a Season plan built for the island's real calendar, with an automatic pause from October to March. And although we started in Mallorca, it works in any city in Spain — we ship the chips and help you set up remotely.

TapMallorca is a product by Teix Web Studio, built in Palma with the same technology we use to run our own studio. If you have a bar, restaurant or hotel and want to see it working, write to us: we'll show you in person, no strings attached.
