Kit Digital 2026: what has actually changed (and what to do now)
Spain's official gazette reopened the door to Kit Digital's remaining funds on 28 January 2026. Here's what it really means, no hype, and how to get ready.
On 28 January 2026, Spain's official state gazette (BOE) published Order TDF/39/2026, and ever since there's been talk of Kit Digital "coming back". That's only half true: the programme is still alive, but this specific order doesn't open a general call for everyone — it prioritises people who already applied before and were left on a waiting list due to lack of funds.
So what actually changes? Previously, each call had a fixed closing date. Now aid will be available "until funds are fully exhausted" — with no predefined expiry date. Red.es can reinvest up to €3,067 million that wasn't spent in previous rounds, even beyond 2026.
The amounts haven't changed: up to €12,000 if you have 10 to 49 employees (Segment I), up to €6,000 with 3 to 9 employees (Segment II), and up to €2,000 if you're self-employed or have up to 2 employees (Segment III). The money can be used for a website, online store, social media, CRM, e-invoicing and more — as a Digitalisation Agent, we handle it all from start to finish.
What should you do now? It depends on your situation. If you already applied for Kit Digital and were left unfunded, you don't need to do anything yet: Red.es has to reactivate your file with the remaining funds (it hasn't published the exact procedure yet). If you've never applied, there's no open call for you today — but it's a matter of time, because the budget is still there.
In both cases, the smart move is not to wait until the window opens to start moving: recent calls ran out within weeks. We've opened an alert list — we'll write to you the same day you can apply again, and if you'd like, we can get your project ready so you don't lose a single day.
